Consistency of our Theology
March 31, 2015
Biblical theologies we hold as believers are linked together, but in modern times we have lost touch with the full implications to our lives. We busy ourselves insulating against errant thinking and theologies without really considering that correct theology insulates us from the errors in abundance in today's world. Learning correct theology enables the believer to spot a phony belief system immediately. Correct theology of the Trinity leads to correct theology of our salvation which leads to an appropriate teaching on Christian marriage and proper ways of living our lives.
Our Christian view is under assault today from many fronts. Progressive thinkers seek to water down theology in the hope that the world will find it more palatable. Liberal thinkers fear Christianity and God because it would restrict their pursuit of pleasure and restrictive rules would keep them from achieving total control over others. The liberal is not tolerant of any that disagree with their true objectives.
Homosexual marriage is now in vogue and any who disagree, especially for religious conviction, are branded with a broad brush and forced to acquiesce. They seek destruction of Christian thought because it stands in their way of power and control.
Then there are those that are unashamedly anti-Christian such as Islam. Liberals right now give Islam a pass, but this alliance will soon prove fatal to liberals when Islam forces them, under sharia law into compliance with their total control.
The best path for men and women is the path that leads to and from the cross of Christ. Jesus offers freedom and contentment along with purpose and meaningful life. Let us forget the convenience of the “way we have always done it” or the struggle to have people do things “our way” and learn true theology of Christian faith.
Christian marriage can only be interpreted as between a man and a women for life. There is no way it can be hijacked as traditional marriage has been. Let us stand for what it right in our churches and our homes. May your home find a blessed Easter.
